Tri an Tábhairne Olympic Triathlon

For 2021 & 2022 Tri Na Tabhairne was an Olympic distance triathlon organised by Crosshaven Triathlon Club, and raced from Fountainstown beach.

The Olympic distance event includes a 1.5km swim, 40km hilly cycle and a hilly 10km run to finish.

Thank you to all athletes, marshals, and sponsors who helped to raise a total of €5,100 for our nominated charities- Cork Missing Persons; Crosshaven RNLI; H.E.R.O. Trust in 2021.

In 2022, we raised approx. €1,000 for Crosshaven RNLI & Crosshaven Meals on Wheels – two fantastic local charities.

1500m swim with ‘aussie exit’
2 laps of 750m departing from slipway, looping buoys, exiting onto the beach, run around a marker, and back into the water for second lap.

38.9km cycle
depart Fountainstown & complete 3 loops with a total elevation of 531m

Bike course (1 loop)

9.6km run
loop from back beach up around by the Foheens and back to Fountainstown, with a total elevation of 173m
